It will be interesting to see how Newt's Out of the Ballpark CPAC speech affects Santorum's place in the polls over the next week.

Are you really so callow as to actually believe Newt will do what he says he will do? Really?

There are a few women who knew him intimately, and accepted his most solemn promises who thought the same thing. If you think that said substantial fraction of the electorate hasn't noticed, I've got news for you. This is why, in instances when Newt wasn't on the ballot, Santorum beat Romney to a far greater degree when the converse was the case. Santorum's support splits equally with Newt and Romney, the opposite is not true, when Newt is out, Santorum gets the bulk of his support.

Where I'd love to see Newt is as Chief of Staff or Secretary of HHS. He knows the system and where the skeletons are likely to be found. Unfortunately, his preferred means are just as reversible as those he seeks to undo. In many respects, he is as autocratic as Zero.

What is RS going to do to help the country ? Not trying to be smart, but he is for Big Gov’t which lets face it, he is a liberal. Like Bush, McCain, Romney. People like this are the reason the country is in terrible shape right now. They offer no alternative to the democrats. They are enablers of Big gov’t democrats. Is he going to slash spending, what is he going to do or I should say would he do ? The answer I suspect, is nothing.

RS is not the answer, if you want a real change, go for Newt.

Yes, actually I do believe Newt will do what he said he will do. The Contract With America was delivered in large part by his leadership.

I won’t cry too many tears over a teacher who would now be labled a sexual predator, who seduced her student (Newt’s first wife). I imagine there was a lot of damage that carried over into his second marriage, to someone who also was unstable. Not everyone has a neat and tidy personal life, but I will take a Repentant Sinner over a Pharisee any day.

Newt is on the side of the People in the actions he plans to take. He is not about imposing his will, nor that of the Establishment in Washington. That they are opposed to him speaks volumes.
