Let's keep the context clear here on FR. Newt does not want to rule (reign in) the courts. He wants to rein in the courts similar to controlling a bucking bronco.

Exactly right!

Newt has backed away from his stances that many of us hate. One doesn't use one's mistakes to define oneself as a candidate. But then you know that.

His warts are many, but Newt is the only candidate advocating overwhelming change in DC, the first day he is President. Read It Here.

Newt changed Washington in a big way once. I remember voting in those 1994 elections and loving the sad and worried looks on the MSM news-reader's faces.

He has been under attack ever since by the MSM and by the GOP-e, helping along the Democrats. Remember the 'Gingrich that Stole Christmas' smear?

Newt wants to change DC once again and has the guts and perseverance to attempt it. Jim Robinson thinks so, too, along with (among others) Fred Thompson, Michael Reagan, Ollie North, Beverly La Haye, Todd Palin, Rick Perry, and Herman Cain.

He’s only “backed away” from those stances because: (1) they are inconvenient little facts that stand in his way as a so-called “conservative” candidate, and (2) he isn’t being paid right now to take those stances. He’s no different than any of these Beltway hacks (which was my original point) . . . he’s an opportunistic fraud who will espouse any position as long as he’s paid for it.

Fine. That’s your opinion and a vitriolic one, too.
