you think a billionaire cares that some of his employees earn minimum wage or something tied ot minimum wage?

The guy earns 50 million are year + just in interest on one Billion at 5%. he could give Newt 30 million, let his union workers have a pay raise and still come out 15 million + ahead without lifting a finger.

I am sure Adelson can afford to do whatever he wants; but, why not reach some sort of accomodation w/Romney (whom he already has admitted he will support if Newt drops out) if it will save him some money in the long run?

Can you give me a better reason for why Romney floated such a strange idea at that particular time (right before the Nevada primary) I’m certainly open to your suggestions. Raising the minimum wage on an automatic basis seems like a totally incongruous thing for Romney to suggest ...especially since he’s been trying to portray himself as a conservative.
