Gingrich was paid a whole $35,000 per year.

For 45 years? Oh, but it was his company, not Newt, that pocketed the remaining $1,565,000.00. Tell me, just who are the owners of Newt's companies? The wife with the Tiffani's account, perhaps? Anybody else? Just where is that $1,565,000.00 that used to be in the treasury, and your pocket before that?

He is an opportunist that has been trading on his former speakership and stuffing his pockets as furiously as his face for fourteen years, while producing zero for anybody not looking for government favors. It isn't really credible for somebody that's gotten so fabulously rich milking big government, instead of working, to be preaching small government

Your slanderous post is still standing because Jim Robinson is out for a few hours. Newt Gingrich has written over 23 books (gee he made money) and he owns a couple of small businesses (Gingrich Produtions (makes money!) with his wife Callista.

His previous work as a consultant for Freddy/Fanny is documented and he personally received $35K for his services.

Concern yourself with the bonuses paid to CEO's like Franklin Raines for example, to the tune of $65,000,000. Newt Gingrich's %35,000 per year for 4 years is chump change, but he earned it.

He released his Tax Returns. Check them out.

Where are Santorum's tax returns? He became a millionaire shortly after getting booted from office. How did he accomplish that?

Not true. He wrote a book “Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less” and campaigned for energy exploration. That’s about SHRINKING government regulation, not growing government. And he supported the Tea Party...

Gingrich’s ties to the tea party movement are deep and long-lasting.

In March 2009, when tea parties were just beginning to be organized, the Georgian pledged to use his prodigious mailing list at American Solutions to publicize the inaugural Tax Day event.

He posted a link on every website he owned, sent emails to everyone in his database and produced a video while publicly announcing his support of the tea party movement — long before radio talkers like Glenn Beck jumped on the bandwagon.
