I’m convinced the GOP-E think Obama is unbeatable...and would PREFER Obama to having either Rick or Newt win. In the end, Barry is more of what they want than ANY conservative.
So I’m convinced those bastards are going to sit this one out regardless. And I’m also convinced I will NEVER vote for ‘their’ guy - because to be their guy, he has to be Obama-lite.
The GOP Establishment isn't, by nature, ideological.
Instead, they are "professional government hands" simply awaiting their turn at the tiller.
Whereupon, they will use their turn to reward and enrich their clients, who will, in turn, reward and enrich them.
Unlike the left, the GOP Establishment (and their clients) has no particular agenda beyond rewarding and enriching.
