VANITY- My conversation with Josh at the RNC- No wonder our Republican party is falling apart

Oh my gosh! I am so very mad I am still shaking. I called the RNC today to get the definitive answer on the Florida delegate count. I was transferred to a young man named Josh and what ensued was the most infuriating, while enlightening, conversation that I have had in a long while.

I first asked my question about the delegates. His convoluted answer was basically that they couldn't impose two punishments, so the one punishment imposed was taking away half of their delegates. I asked him about that rule, was that in writing somewhere. He then proceeded to tell me that he thought that it was funny that no one had a problem with the rule until Newt Gingrich lost and now Gingrich wants to challenge it. Mind you, I had not mentioned that I was a Gingrich supporter. He said that it basically didn't matter anyway. The race wouldn't be that close. Several other things were said about Gingrich, with a tone that made it perfectly clear that he supported Romney and despised Gingrich.

Well, I was getting pretty mad at this point. So I said that the average Conservative voter was pretty upset about the establishment trying to shove Romney down our throats as the "inevitable" candidate, just like they did McCain and Dole. He said, "Newt Gingrich is more of an establishment candidate than any of them". I talked about ruling class and the fact that all of the elite, inside-the-beltway Republicans and Democrats all hated Gingrich for a reason and that intrigued me. He then said that the Democrats would LOVE to have Gingrich as their candidate because they know that they could beat him! Wasn't this guy supposed to be neutral? I was quite mad by now. I said that the Democrats are actually dying to run against Romney, a silver-spoon, live in a bubble being groomed to run for president, multi-millionaire Wall Street guy. He then said, well Newt Gingrich is a multi-millionaire! Uh, hello?!

I asked him what he thought about the false ads that Romney and his supporters were running attacking Newt and his Reagan connections. He said that he didn't live in Florida and he didn't see the ads! I said that he sounding like Romney! Then I said, you work in the political office of the Republican party, shouldn't you know what is going on in all of the campaigns, especially if it is making news. You know that we have this little thing called the "internet" where you can go to see videos. He changed the subject.

THEN he launched into the most shocking attack on Gingrich that I could have imagined. He said "well, this guy has had three wives and investigated the president for cheating on his wife while he was cheating on his wife. Don't you think that is hypocritical?" !!!!!!

I was floored! I said, did I call the RNC or the DNC?!?! I then asked him how old he was (25) and was he really around to pay attention to the impeachment trial in the 90's? He said yes, Newt was investigating a guy for having an affair while he was having an affair and that was hypocritical. I practically screamed at him "it was not about sex, it was about lying under oath!" He then said that the speaker of the house should not have been investigating him in the first place, since he was having sex with another woman at the time. Picking myself up off the floor, I yelled that the investigation was started because of Paula Jones. He said that she was just a slut. I said that she had a legitimate harassment suit against Clinton and he was called to testify under oath and he lied! Josh said that he shouldn't have been investigated in the first place! WOW! I then asked him if he thought that perjury was a crime. He said yes but the House investigated and the Senate did not convict him. He said that the Speaker brought embarrassment on his whole party by investigating Clinton and bringing Impeachment charges. Unbelievable...

I then thanked him for showing me exactly why my Republican party is falling apart. I told him that it is because of people like him that our party has lost its footing, its vision and its mission. I said because of people like him we would end up with 4 more years of Obama and our country no longer resembling the United States of America.

I then hung up the phone and called Newt's office. I relayed everything that this "neutral" kid said to me. Needless to say, they were shocked. As was I..... I hope that I have conveyed my conversation in a way that makes sense to everyone. But I felt that I should share my experience so that we all know that the enemy is inside the gates.

Dunno if you can get a call into someone that is at CPAC but Reince Pribus will be there and he is the guy to lower the boom on.

...then their parasitic livelihood would be gone, and they would have to get real jobs.

I respectfully disagree Thane. They could hold their jobs but with a drastic reduction of money and power. These people are DRIVEN by a love of money and a lust for power.

They would still have plenty, more than most but, they WANT IT ALL!

I think I would have had to double up on my heart meds.

....

I don’t know about the rest of the crowd, but I have completely had it with the RNC.

The GOP is DEAD to me.

I am 63 and I have been republican for all of my adult life. They will NEVER see another dime from me. I see very little difference, if any, between the GOP and the democrats.

I plan to vote for Newt, lacking that, I will sit it out and watch this country burn to the ground.... and I will hate every minute of it.

I would rather rebuild from the ashes than let these bastards continue with their nonsense.

Romney is a POS and the whiney Sweater Boy isn’t good enough.

GO NEWT GO—it’s about the survival of our country!!

The hearings were 1998-99, right? Josh would have been 11,12, 13? He was affixed to his tv? Now a ‘fully educated’ college grad working at the RNC, he doesn’t understand the House investigation led to impeachment, for only the 2nd time in US history? Or that Paula Jones had to go to the SCOTUS just to get Clinton to sit for the deposition at which he lied under oath?

I ran into a similar attitude a few years ago regarding open borders when they called my home asking for money. They were screaming at me (the caller and her supervisor) all Republicans. They wouldn’t stop so I hung up on them. They were crazy-emotional and ignorant.

Wow first two chapters are there to read as samples: lots of history and at the end how the use of lies are used to cover their “truths”

In 1994 all the Arizona republicans took the 6-yr House term limit pledge. John Shadegg and J. D. Hayworth broke their promise. I can’t remember who else did.

You can read the first two chapters at Amazon. It’s historical but good reading.

If I were you, I would report him to ....uh someone.
That’s the problem. Who would listen?

I worked for a great candidate this summer in a Demorat recall. The RNC breezed in when they finally decided to “help”. The young, inexperienced arrogant twits that they sent to us were worse than if we had gone it alone.

The only thing I would caution about is that we don’t want Newt to be reactive and on defense anymore. But it’s good to tell his campaign what’s going on for their “files’.

By the by, I heard from someone who worked for Romney(from a reliable source) and said it was h*ll. Apparently he’s
one nasty dude.

I understand how you feel. I feel like I am in a place on my own. People need to understand that we need to put up a battle to get our country back. It will be a heck of a fight, nasty, mean, indeed. If we don't have Newt to fight Obama, we are not even going to get one battle engaged. I would love to see Newt bust the liberals agenda wide open. Nothing will ever change until that happens. Now, we are playing nice guy with a business suit candidate as a reformer. And, I do resent Rick S. for being so almighty when he didn't lift one finger to stop the lies about Newt. He has lost my respect. I am not voting for him and his view of being against right to work which is not being a conservative in principle. I can see him now making deals with unions. No wonder, people are not engaged. I do wonder when people will get angry and focus on fighting the Un- Americanism we have in place with these radical judges, over reaching with excessive taxation and embodied corruption. If we don't get reform this year, I think I will move along and wait to ride in with the rebels (the patriots ).

I sent a letter to the RNC telling them why I will never, ever vote for a RINO again, and especially their poor pick of Romney if he gets the nom.

Emphasized that they won’t be getting a plug nickel from me anymore.
Even if you didn’t donate, you can write and say you have and that they’re cut off! :-) ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY.
Trust me on this one.

Just linked this thread over at the CPAC thread. Pinged you to it. You might want to go over and ask some that are there to help you contact a top person of the RNC.

I think your post about the book deserves it’s own thread.

My highlight marker is hard at work (one of the things I love about iPad book reader) and when I have finished the book I will, indeed, start a thread about the book and why I can NEVER support Bishop Mitt Romney.
