The risk of a behavior being associated with increased risk of cancer is hardly some nefangled concept.

It would hardly be modern science.

More like basic methodology.

Smokers are statistically more likely to die early, have major health problems, including impotence, have less education and less wealth

Apparently you don't see that the two statements stand as direct contradictions to each other. So, which one would you say again or would you simply repeat them both? LOL
