Fresno being like Mars is not entirely inaccurate. You should see some of the neighborhoods. I have told visitors that there are some really nice areas of Fresno, but that there is no safe place in Fresno.

No it's no inaccurate. Fresno might as well be on the planet Mars, as it has absolutely no relationship to this article regarding plummeting crime rates in the LA/OC area.
