“Having a strategic vision for the United States should always “trumps” vapid election campaign tactics.”

Talking intelligently during a campaign is normally not a useful thing on either side.

Talking to an Obama voter in 2008 “Why are you voting for Obama? “I'm sick of Bush” Oh; what did Bush do? “I don't know, but I'm sick of Bush and it's time for change” What policies of Obamas do you support? “I don't know, but he will change things” etc etc etc.....

“Talking to an Obama voter in 2008...”
_______________

Per your first paragraph: I'm not quite that cynical ...at least not today. (smile)

Per your second paragraph: Expecting an intelligent conversation w/an Obama voter is DEFINITELY an exercise in futility. (I am THAT cynical!)
