President Obama said Sunday that he deserves a second term despite suggesting in a similar interview three years ago that if he didn’t turn around the economy in three years, his presidency was going to be a “one-term proposition.’
“We’ve made progress,” Obama told NBC’s Matt Lauer. “The key right now is to just make sure we don’t start turning in a new direction that could throw that progress off."
That “new direction” to which the president obliquely referred likely involves voters choosing someone else such as Mitt Romney to run the country.
Obama has made a Super Bowl pregame interview an annual tradition. Last year, he sat down with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly. Lauer, the co-host of NBC’s “Today” show also interviewed Obama three years ago, shortly after he was sworn into office.
“I've got four years," the new president told Lauer then. "A year from now I think people are going to see that we're starting to make some progress, but there's going to be some pain out there. If I don't have this done in three years, than this is going to be a one-term proposition."

I could not bear to watch him before the game. I would have probably kicked my TV. Hearing that he ‘thinks he deserves a second term’ seems really rich to me given the terrible results that are shown from the job he has been doing. He deserves a lot of things, but re-election is probably not one of them. Changing the course of this ship cannot come soon enough.
........and if Mittens is the GOP Nom, Obama will get that second term in a devasting landslide. And I would prefer that to happen....(maybe then the RINOs will wake-up)....

An absurdity but....Ras. has him leading all Pubs. The Pubs are killing this election with all their hate ads toward..each other. The public needs to see them explain why Bama DOES NOT DESERVE another term . Polls come and go but this is sad that voters think he deserves another term too...so far. Apparently they have mass amnesia to his horrid policies. From Care to scandals, to from regs to Keystone, to foreign policy failures with the Arab Spring, Dems have murdered not only USA domestically but internationally. It does seem that the lemming voters outnumber right now than voters who have the facts and stats on their side. Sad for our liberties and free enterprise.
