Obama: U.S. working to keep Israel from striking Iran

President Obama said Sunday he is determined to work with Israel in “lock step” to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, and tried to allay concerns that Israel is preparing to carry out a unilateral military strike. “I don’t think that Israel has made a decision on what they need to do,” Mr. Obama said during an interview at the White House during NBC’s Super Bowl pre-game show. “We are going to make sure that we work in lock step, as we proceed to try to solve this — hopefully, diplomatically.”

Despite Obama’s loathing of Israel. His only concern is that Israel and the US are in “lockstep”.

Obama wants in on the attack. Not because he agrees, but because he needs the October....or what will be a “August/September” surprise.

Obama’s fear is that the Israel do an earlier lone attack, robbing Obama of his political payday.

Obama: We are going to make sure that we work in lock step [with Israel] as we proceed to try to solve this - hopefully, diplomatically.

Apparently Obama and Panetta are in denial with respect to Iran's nuclear weapons development. Hopefully, we'll get a GOP Administration in Washington before Iran has full nuclear weapons capability. Maybe Obama can afford to wait, but time is running short for Israel to defeat this existential threat.

IMHO, I think the Israelis, and possibly the British, may act first and make announcements later. The uk’s Minister of Defence has recently had numerous meetings with Israel’s military..
