“Now, a question for you. Why do you feel an innocent unborn baby conceived in an act of rape is not worth defending?”
I don’t believe that a fertilized human egg is anymore a person on day one than a fertilzed chicken egg is a chicken on day one.
Pure ignorance.
Do you eat fertilized chicken eggs for breakfast?
Or maybe you're ignorant of how unpleasant that would be, too.
*******************************
It may not be what you might define as a person, but a "fertilized human egg" is still human, a human being, near the beginning of its life cycle.
If it isn't a chicken, what, pray tell, is it? You think it might be an orangutan?
If the fertilized egg is not a person, then what the hell is it?
If it's not a person, why are you opposed to abortion at all?
Let me explain what will happen with this so-called "rape exception":
The number of reported rapes will go from around 80,000 to well over a million and this will happen immediately. Not a single life will be saved and abortion will continue unabated. Some phony anti-abortionists will pat themselves on the back, but they will have accomplished NOTHING because a women will simply have to claim rape before she kills a baby.
Now for the other downside, with the skyrocket in the number of rapes being reported police will become increasingly desensitized to rape and will begin to view it as a technicality designed to allow abortion. The police will begin to investigate rape less and less, criminals will become aware of this and the number of ACTUAL RAPES will increase.
People like you and Paul and all of these others promote these "and then you can kill the baby" laws in an attempt to silence the pro-life movement. You have NO INTENTION of ever actually ending abortion, what you want to end is the pro-life movement.
