THANK YOU for pointing that out! There is nothing "prayerful" about that song, as I heard it? The "gladiators" were so over the top to start with (NB: that was NOT a "marching band") and IMHO, it got worse from there. The only thing the "gospel choir" singers had in common with a real choir was the robe costumes, and they could sing.
I have to hand it to the "cast" and the "star performer" for doing a credible job, and I'm not disputing their talent, but I thought the whole production was pretty disgusting, with the sexual inuendos, crotch cartwheels, etc.
Call me a prude if you want to, but I thought this half-time show was completely vapid, as well as offensive in much of the content and unsuitable for younger viewers (it ran at @ 8:10 p.m. here in Ohio)...I thought it was the worst one I've ever seen, and that's saying something, LOL!!
Apparently one of the other Celebs DID give the finger to the crowd... M.I.A?(Never heard of her before) and gave the F bomb. (After googling apparently M.I.A is associated with the Tamil Tigers.....A Terrorist group in Sri Lanka. UGH!!
I've listened to the SB tonite as I no longer have TV. I will not allow these vile creatures in my home anymore. Although I will admit...had to fight the temptation to get TV/Satellite for this.
