Does it seem to you as if WWII never ended? Because it sure is beginning to seem that way to me.

All the so-called "conspiracy theories" seem to be proving themselves plausible indeed. From the same link these eye-openers:

You have to work out with us, and the European leaders, how you would react to that, how would you allow the other Easteuropean countries to interact with it or how to become a part of it, you have to be prepared.” (voila the disastrous "Euro")

Yeah, either that or the Cold War never ended either. It just shifted gears from an external arena to a domestic one. We are in an ideological Cold War between us and them, we know who plays for which sides. I do see things getting hotter as time goes on starting with the 2000 elections to today.

I once asked when I was 17 in 1983, a few day after KAL-007 went down. I did out just for "craps and giggles" but actually to provoke a serious discussion as well. I asked, "what if the USSR became the USA and the USA became the USSR?" I then added, "what if we became the Evil Empire?" Dead silence but we had discussions of "What ifs." I know Russia is not exactly like the USA of old, but in many ways, she is getting close or there, but we seem to be headed to where the USSR was or even past it. Heck, some boozo was talking about regulating sugar, not even the USSR did that, yeah availability might be a problem from time to time but at least they didn't tell you want to eat. Getting back to my thought experiment, I think we are going to see it carried out in real life if things do not change.
