No weapons charges for the (presumably) knife? Out in la la land? I can’t believe it.
As for the laser, I guess future tree sitters should restrict themselves to flashlights. That (and the theoretical possibility of blinding someone who got it directly in the eye) was considered much worse than the tree sitting.
55 years old, get a life old man who pushed you up the tree to begin this sit in or sit on whatever??
55 years old. He was barely born during the hey dey of the People’s Park. Just a little kid. Maybe he was born during a sit in in the 60s, or one of their nude demonstrations and he’s just reviving some of that old nostalgia.
Does anyone one here remember how People’s Park started? The University bought a couple of blocks of land and removed the existing old houses with the intent to build dormitories for the expanding student population and parking lots. Casting about for something to oppose the Board of Regents and Gov. Reagan, the hippies decided to camp out on the University owned land to prevent any construction. Later they planted gardens there.
What has People’s Park cost the taxpayers of California? The illegal occupation of state owned land?
