OH MY WORD!!!! Fellow Freepers you MUST listen to this!!!! God was NOT mocked yesterday!!!! He was alive and well and used His servant, Eric Metaxas, yesterday to speak straight to the President. It starts at about 35min, BUT the GREAT moment takes place at the 45min mark. BEFORE the Preisdent speaks, God through Metaxas, says that people, even Satan use the scripture to do the OPPOSITE of what God does. I was BLOWN away!!!! Eric did not know that Obama would misuse the scripture in just a few short minutes but GOD DID!!!! THEN the most amazing thing happens at the 50min mark. He uses humor to get BOTH of his books into the Presidents hands in front of the whole crowd. These are biographies of TRUE believers and one who LOVED the Jews and another who took down slavery in England!!! IMO, God, through Metaxas, chastised Obama BUT then reached out and tried to get his attention! IT IS AMAZING!!!! God placed the TRUTH of Jesus Christ squarely in front of Barack Obama yesterday! PLEASE pray that he reads these books! I would think Wilberforces book would intrigue him greatly. Metaxas then goes on to say as believers we MUST stand up for the Jews, stand against abortion and stand for biblical sexuality, and then says we must pray for those that don't yet believe that. IT IS AMAZING!!!! Watch from 35min to 1hr 5min. It will BLESS YOU!!!!!

I heard the prayer breakfast at 4:00am (C-Span) in Alaska..
Metaxas was pretty good segment from an ultra liberal..

I turned in to see this because of Jackie Evancho singing her Uncles song “To Believe”..

Was quite surprised by Metaxas.. even tho he implied Jesus was a socialist..
After all it was a prayer breakfast, whatever that is..

I think you are wrong about Metaxas. I did not see that he thought Jesus was/is a socialist. But we can have private discussion about that if you wish. I am open.

What I saw on display was the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ laid out for President Obama and an unwavering stand against abortion and homosexuality. I would hate this thread to spin into a back and forth about your view of Metaxas. I do not think it can be argued that God used him to speak straight to the President. Let us praise Him for that!

Shows even liberals (appear to) have some good in them with a Utopian bent..

But the only dog I have in this fight is for the little angel I mentioned..
No doubt she has no idea of the political ramifications of the issues involved..

Heck many republicans do not know Willard Romney is a malefactor..
Americans WILL elect the President they deserve in 2012..

You have no argument from me. God has not turned His back on America, America has turned it's back on Him. All that we have has been given to us by Him, yet all that we have is what is keeping us from Him.

WE have turned the prosperity given to us as a blessing into a CURSE!!! Our self absorbed culture sees no need for God. Americans have come to believe that He is only there to provide us with things for our definition of happiness, when the truth is His first interested in our righteousness!

Praying may be all we have left... i.e. it couldn’t hurt..

You know, I watched her say, she prays before every performance thanking God for his gift to her and that she invites God to sing with her.. on stage.. everytime..

Metaxas was wonderful - I couldn’t struggle through obumbles - just one long campaign speech extolling his
‘accomplishments’ as though he was guided by God to do the things he’s done...ergo, how can we question him or anything he does?

When he even uses the Prayer Breakfast for self promotion, he exceeds even his most narcissistic moments.
