Big Entertainment is culturally very powerful in the USA and Hollywood is the center of it. Indeed, this phenomenon is very common - partially because people going to Hollywood for work offer themselves up for such abuse.

I do not expect lurid exposes nor even local enforcement to be able to change it. Therefore, they do not fear consequences.

What it may take is an outraged parent of a victim, or a victim themselves, to kill some perpetrator(s) to blow the facts of this into the open.

At one time, porn ‘actor/actresses’ made big bucks. Today, not so much. Because there are uncountable tens of thousands who have their own video cameras and websites. And more every day.

To say nothing of those who fail to make it in the Big Show. They simply go over the hill to San Pornando, pre-trained, experienced and ready to ‘perform’ for their fleeting moment of fame.

If you eliminated Porn from the net (and porn basically ‘built’ the net with people demanding ever faster speeds to download movies), the net would be half it’s size. That takes a lot of morally bankrupt people to fill that kind of space.
