Sometimes a bad, soggy Republican is worse than a Dem. I can think of two or three Texas Dems of the last 30 years who'd have been better than Mittens. Starting with Big John Connally, who had the lights to leave the 'Rat Party. Even Lloyd Bentsen would have been better than The Willard -- he'd have done less damage, being observant (unlike the Progs, or Willard) of the Constitution and its boundaries, and of certain outrages against nature like Willard's clammy embrace of homophilia.

stevie, check me on that last one -- you know more about Lord Bentsen, who was at least honest enough to quit Slick when the really slippery Rubinesque Tesoro-bond crap started.

You really don't even have the slightest grasp of what's at stake in this election. Here's a clue; "the last term of George W. Bush" already seems "like the good old days" to most conservatives--I guess you self-anointed guardians of what is or is not conservatism didn't notice the whole "Miss me yet?" thing.

The last term of George Bush, the two terms of Bill Clinton, and a Mitt Romney presidency all would be far better than a 2nd term of Obama.
