I have never advocated for Mitt. I have never supported Mitt. I have, in fact, been one of the foremost advocates for Gingrich and Perry before him--the two most capable conservatives in the race--but then clearly the truth is irrelevant to you.

You invoke Reagan's name (I love that you use "Dutch" as though you actually knew him) as if you have even a remote understanding of what he stood for--YOU DON'T. Ronald Reagan loved America far more than he loved himself, his own ideals, or his own ambition. He loved America and he supported Gerald Ford, even after losing a long, bitterly fought campaign against him, because--unlike you--he understood the need to elect a Republican, no matter how moderate, over a Democrat like Carter. Reagan never placed his own selfish desires above the good of the nation he so loved--clearly you do. "Dutch" would have been with me, not with you. He would campaign for Romney, just as he campaigned for Ford. He didn't turn his back on him just because Ford wasn't as conservative as him.
