Zoo animals and art exhibits are interesting. Chronic unemployment is notunless youre President Obama.
In a Google+ video conference Tuesday, President Obama told a Texas woman that it was interesting that her husband couldnt find a job. The woman, Jennifer Weddel of Fort Worth, wanted to know why it was so difficult for her husband, an engineer, to find a job.
President Obama proceeded to lecture her that it should actually be quite easy for her husband. As a basic matter, he said, theres a huge demand for engineers.
When Jennifer said that just wasnt true, he responded with the coolness of a detached professor, intrigued by a complex case study: Its interesting to me
Jennifers husband is a semiconductor engineer, so Professor Obama explained that the word were getting is that an engineer in that field should be able to find something right away.
Jennifer put it best: I just think I stumped him a little and he wanted me to hush about it, she later said in an interview.
For three years, the American people have been suffering under the Obama economy. Jennifers husband is hardly alone. 13 million people are out of work. Millions more cannot find enough work.
The president, meanwhile, has made things worse. His stimulus failed, and his regulations, mandates, and threats of tax increases have made it more difficult for job creators to hire workers. When someone dares to speak out, he wants them to hush about it. Americans need jobs, but Obama is just out to save his.
This detachment is nothing new. We saw it in the State of the Unionwhen the president repeated old, broken promises but gave no mention to the millions of unemployed Americans hes ignored or the trillions of dollars in debt hes created.
We saw it also with the Keystone energy pipeline. America had an opportunity for a source of affordable, secure energy, but the president blocked it. We had a chance for 20,000 new jobs, but the president said no. He was more interested in pleasing a small cadre of vocal political supporters than listening to the needs of Americans.
Jobs? Deficits? Energy? Debt? Hush, he wants to say. Im running for reelection.
Instead of taking responsibility for the failing economy, President Obama casts blame elsewhere. Difficult job market? Thats not the word were getting. If someone is out of work, Obama insists its not his fault. He assumes theres something wrong with the unemployed.
Difficult job market? Thats not the word were getting.
What is the word he is getting, and who is giving it to him? He’s a product of his own handlers.
This commentary just like the RNC is short on words and originality.
This organization if ineffectual and as far as I’m concerned totally useless at this point.
They haven’t gotten a dime of my money for the last 4 years and it will remain that way until the empty words become action.
Republicans and Romney remind me of the British during the Revolutionary War period. Incapable of decent argument and playing into the hands of the “rebels.”
We are in the battle for the survival of America and the RNC is putting up a liberal democrat pretending to be a conservative. Where is the General when we need one. I pray Newt can fight on. What a nightmare Obama or Romney. (head to desk)

Furthermore, nationally, the Unemployment Rate among those with a college degree is 4.1%.

As as engineer he should be able to find a job in Ft. Worth or rent a U-Haul and move to an area where he can find employment.
Frank, your pictures are always so spot on. Things are so bad, It’s almost difficult to even laugh these days. We all need to unite to Newt or get a new strong candidate in.
The Semiconductor engineer in Ft. Worth must have some other issue which is preventing him from finding employment as Indeed.com show that there are 357 Semiconductor Engineer Jobs open in Texas.

I think this guy paraphrases Obama best!

Do not lecture about that which you do not know.
A few months ago my wife and I were having dinner with a few other couples and we counted 12 of our friends who were unemployed.
A week later we had a dinner party among ourselves, the 12 without jobs, few other people and were able to find each of those 12 people find jobs in their fields ranging from legal, oilfield, high tech, finance, trading, education and medical.
The jobs are out there for those with marketable degrees.
This is the Shutdown Notice for anyone who thought Reince Priebus was going to make an iota's difference in the institutional RiNOism of the RNC.
Look at the headline .... then the substance. All Priebus wants to talk about is economic issues: jobs, house prices, gross national product.
Not a mention of Obamacare and its Sovietizing savageries.
Not a word about Obama's loathesome associates: George Soros, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.
Not a word about his unconstitutional, Communist czars or their seamy backgrounds.
Not one word about Obama's ties to the people leading violent black-racist flashmobs, attacks on white people in public and in their homes, and the Occupy "protest" movement.
Nothing about Obama's back-channel discussions with the Muslim Brotherhood, or his foreign policy that has toppled one stable, secularist Arab government after another and thrown their nations into the New Caliphate.
Nothing about Obama's seamy, concealed background, his wormy political friends in Chicago and DC, his jihadist Executive Branch counselors, his exculpation of jihadist murderers like the Fort Hood shooter, his bailing out of Iraq and throwing their new government on its own resources against recrudescent jihadists and the Iranians.
Priebus and the RNC could run a campaign on a thousand topics ..... but the RNC has concluded that, if the target is Sarah Palin, a million subjects are not too many to put out there (the better to hide the bodyguard of lies), but if the opponent is Obama, he can only be engaged on one, repeat ONE, axis -- economics and money issues.
