Say, isnt this starting to resemble a certain reality-game show on television? Or would I be fired for pointing that out? Last night, reports surfaced that casino and real-estate tycoon Donald Trump would endorse Newt Gingrich in Nevada today, just two days before the binding caucuses. This morning, both CNN and ABC say that Trump will now endorse Mitt Romney:
Mitt Romney will receive Donald Trumps presidential endorsement Thursday, sources with knowledge of the endorsement told CNN.
Trump will make the announcement in Las Vegas, two days before the Nevada caucuses.
ABC is a little more specific about its sourcing:
Donald Trump will endorse Mitt Romney in Las Vegas on Thursday, sources familiar with the decision tell ABC News.
A political aide in Trumps office spoke directly with Mitt Romney by phone last night before Trumps private plane took off from New York City to Las Vegas.
The call, sources say, was to inform Romney of Thursdays endorsement, which will take place at a 12:30 p.m. event at the Trump International Hotel on the Las Vegas strip.
A contracting company used by the Romney campaign has been setting up for the event since Wednesday night.

Trump goes with who he thinks is going to win all the media says Willard the liberal so thats who hell endorse.
It makes no difference to Trump that Willard gave him his middle finger on Trumps debate. It makes no difference that Trump has praised Newt more than any of the candidates.
Trump is about playing the odds so hell support Willard.
The support will really mean nothing because I dont think youll see him on TV telling the world how great Romney is and how bad Newt is. And the average republican voter cant stand Trump. Hes considered a rich elitist, exactly like Willard the rich Morman. The endorsement of Herman Cain for Newt will mean much more as far as votes go. Cain actually had a following.
If true, they deserve each other. I was actually worried when it was stated yesterday that Trump would endorse Newt. Trump is one bombastic mouthpiece that Newt does not need.
Soros directed Trump to endorse Romney as payback for a bailout in 2008 and 2009. Trump was just following orders.
Gee....maybe he can get the Waltons, the Bloombergs, the Kerry’s, and Richie Rich to endorse him, too.
Must keep it in the club.
Let’s see, how can we spin this, let me count the ways. So, if Trump endorses Romney; he’s really trying to help Newt ...and if he endorses Newt he’s really trying to help Romney ...and either way Trump is endorsing Trump!
Boooo! hiss! hiss! Booooo!!! *throws maters*
Ah well, means Trump is doing Trump a favor, if it had been Gingrich it would have been to support a candidate. This most helps Trump, not Romney.
I guess both with goofy hair and the you’re fired line...they go hand-in-mitt.
“Im not surprised. Trump goes with whats a sure thing in his eyes. He doesnt really have any core values.”
Bingo.
Does this mean that Trump will get to give a speech at the convention?
That was my first thought as well.
I have to chuckle. Earlier today, there was a thread with a ton of Freepers going about how wonderful and important Trump’s endorsement was...when they thought it was going to Newt.
I am so darn sick of this. I am thinking about not even voting for anybody...even the dog catcher!
Limbaugh is talking about this and says he does not know who he will endorse. He said the Romney blogs have been bashing Trump big time all morning due to the news reports about Trump endorsing Newt. If it is Romney, they will be eating crow.
I am going to vote...but will register as an INDEPENDENT rather than REPUBLICAN. “I didn’t leave the Republican Party, they left me.”
Maybe instead of chuckling you should find out if it’s the same Freepers. There’s a lot of us you know.
Anybody who thinks Trumps endorsement helps is just nuts.
Trump should first check out if Romney is a natural born citizen. ROTFL
Trump wants Taxcheat Timmy’s job.
That’s good news for Gingrich, although there were more than a few Gingrich supporters who seemed way too happy last night that Trump would pick Gingrich.
I wouldn’t have held it against Gingrich if Trump had endorsed him, but still — is Donald Trump the endorsement people are seeking?
I think Trumps endorsement of Romney today of all days (1 day after the PR problem of him saying he is not worried about the poor) will drive the point home. LOL!
