"Those who are legally blind would still be prohibited from registering firearms."
There is no reason that legally blind people should be deprived of their constitutional rights to defense. Just because a person is legally blind does not mean that they cannot use a firearm effecively.
A person does not have to see the person who is strangling them to poke a .38 in their ribs and pull the trigger.
We do not prevent people who are deaf and or blind from voting, even thought they cannot see or hear the candidates.

It's obvious that "Ladd" hasn't even bothered to read Emily's blog. He's probably getting third-hand info and writing based on that.

Where did they find a chair wide enough for “Ladd” Everitt, wearing his two pair of adult diapers?

Shall not be infringed... seems pretty simple to me, but politicians need the two by four treatment to understand it. The author probably wouldn't understand it even with the two by four treatment. :)
Registration is an infringement. What is the purpose? Do criminals register their guns? No the courts have ruled that criminals need not register their weapons as that would be self incrimination.
So, just who is the registration aimed at? You and me, that's who. If we lived in the District of Criminals, that is. I live in Texas, and the legislature here doesn't dare pass any such nonsense, and they come down hard on local jurisdictions who try.
