CNN) - Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann denied reports that she was negotiating an endorsement of GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Bachmann, who suspended her presidential campaign last month, said on Wednesday that she is not ready to back a candidate.
"I know there was a lot of speculation earlier today. Governor Romney had gone to Minnesota. People were putting out rumors that I was going to be endorsing. I am not," she said. "I'm not in negotiations to do an endorsement, so I want to make that absolutely clear. I have absolutely no plans to do that."

I think the Romney camp floated her endorsement out there, trying to force her hand. This is the kind of crap they do.

FOX news was hyping that rumor all morning yesterday. They were almost saying she would be endorsing Romney.
They kept saying that, and then they had Michele on and she told them flat out NO.
Martha McCallum was practically browbeating her to make an endorsement.
I think FOX was behind that.
If she endorses him- it will be the one of the most in your face admissions of an act I’ve experienced in my lifetime. I’m only 30 , but Bachman managed to make me believe she was a real dedicated conservative.
Of course, we know that anyone who supports Mittens cannot be anything even close to conservative so it would basically be her admitting she was simply using us all to get famous and skip some ladder rungs in the GOP-e.
I hope she doesn’t do this or the little faith I have left in authenticity at any level will gone.
Did you read it? She was on FOX and said she is not endorsing. She said she is with the Tea Party.

I personally find it very interesting that all these supposed “Romney Employees” keep coming out and endorsing Gingrich and nobody around here wants to acknowledge their hypocrisy.

I'd heard that they do that. Jeb Bush had to make a correction when Romney floated that idea while Jeb was in China and couldn't respond quickly enough to tamp down the immediate speculation it caused.

It well could be that she’s been made to understand by the GOP establishment, either endorse Mitt or don’t endorse anyone.....if she knows what’s good for her.
Well, there is no shortage of hypocrisy lately. It has become the norm. LOL
People should know anymore that the media creates many of these rumors because they know how people will react.

At some point in time, to some degree, you will eventually be disappointed by every politician or person who takes a politically-connected position.
It is unusual for a politician to remain consistent over the long term; and some of them genuinely change based on new information and/or revised rationale.
What you really need to beware of is forming an important opinion or conclusion based on news reports. News reports are usually incorrect or radically misleading. Those who base a world-view on media reports are destined to be jerked around.
I wonder how many FREEPERS were bashing her yesterday when the rumor was floating around. I bet it was ugly. It amazes me that FREEPERS are so quick to attack great conservatives like Bachmann and Santorum.
