The remarkable thing is they seem to believe this will score positive points with the tens of millions of Americans who will tune into the game, 80 to 90 percent of whom belong to no unions and don’t wish to. Margaret Thatcher served a record term as PM and Ronald Reagan two terms as President on the backs of similar demonstrations of union hubris. So, you go girls! Fat gut teamster thugs and 300 lb. purple jacketed public “servants” taking their frustrations out on cops and civilians in Indianapolis is certain to persuade voters to your and your Kenyan master’s side.
I had no idea union guys did all the work they do for free. Wow, maybe we really do owe them something after all.
“Krue, there are men in here that killed their own mothers. But you shaved points off a football game. That’s God Damn un-American.” - The Caretaker
What exactly is this “right to work” crap? I know you have a right to apply for work. But if you aren’t qualified does the company have to hire you? If a person doesn’t qualify for any job then noone should be required to hire them.
It is that Elizabeth Warren mentality. We are supposed to be grateful for all eternity to them because they built it. Never mind the fact they were overpaid to do the work and that it would have been cheaper if it wasn’t for them.
From the article:
“...We want to take this to the streets and fight block by block, citizen by citizen and legislative seat by legislative seat,” union attorney Todd Nierman said.”
Sounds like they’re threatening to riot and attack their fellow citizens.
So, yeah. I agree with you, “Bring in the Guard and arm them with FMJ...and bring body bags!”
I believe right to work refers to the ability to gain employment without having to join a union to do so, or have union dues pulled from your paycheck when you don't join the union already established at a company.
Good. I hope these vermin get massive media coverage.
It is “right to work” versus “closed union shop” - in other words, in a closed union shop state, you CANNOT get a job unless the union decides to let you have one (where there is a union).
In other words, you have a right to work for any employer that wishes to legally hire you without some union organization having any say in the matter. This is the nasty side of unions that they don’t teach in schools. Blacklisting didn’t just happen in Hollywood or in private conglomerates; in some places, pissing off the union bosses meant that you and your family would starve because you couldn’t get a job anywhere in your forced-closed-shop state. Even in another industry (because of ‘union solidarity’) or in a non-union business (for fear of union thuggery and boycottage as all the customers were union).
“Right to work” does not mean you have a right to a job. Right to work means you have the right to work for any employer that chooses to hire you without union interference.
I’ll bet there are two football teamss that do not want to be disrupted either. And THOSE guys KNOW how to HIT! Ya, that’s it. A unique pre game warm up. “bust a thug”
What are the Indiana restrictions on visitors’ right to carry? Super Bowl attendees should arrive armed!
Except that this time they are threatening football fans in a "shall issue" CCW state.
Indiana is a shall issue state that recognizes other states CCW permits. I don’t know if they are allowing them in the game though, they are patting people down and you have to go through a metal detector so I believe you have to lock them in your car once you get there and head to the field.
There will be plenty of cops everywhere around the stadium, I wouldn’t worry too much about being downtown until after the game is over and everyone heads to the bars. Then just do what I do and put it on and go have fun.
Fans are unlikely to be allowed into the stadium while carrying. That says nothing about what they might keep in their cars.
That is the ONLY way to deal with union goons.
LLS
If I understood correctly, they plan to impede access to the stadium or to parking areas. People who paid thousands of dollars for travel, lodging and ticket packages will be downright peeved if they can't get to their seats in a timely manner. Here's hoping they get to whale away on some of the SEIU thugs!
My mother was saying that many of them were farmed in from other states.
Figures.
It’s great that you laid it bare, right there. I asked a friend the other day:
“What will be the spark that lets loose the sh*tstorm of rebellion?”
I’d give this an 8.5 for potential.
