Must have hit the femoral artery... Sounds like she fired first and then he fired as he fell. Sad. He should have taken her out more swiftly.

From what I read, sounds like he fired as he was drawing. This would explain the low hit in the upper leg. She then fired at his chest. At least, that’s how I intepret it.
I think it was Sean Taylor, a Washington Redskins defender, who was shot in the leg during a robbery. He bled out before help could get to him.
