I remember Daniels getting a lot of heat for not pushing RTW legislation last year. He and the Indiana House and Senate had a lot on their plates legislatively last year. Daniels wanted hearings on it last year and to look at RTW for this session. In December, Daniels came out in full support of RTW.
Today he signed the bill into law making Indiana the 23rd RTW state in the nation. You gotta give Daniels credit. He is a man of his word. Great job Mitch!!!
One moe state free from Union Thugs.
I hope they do. What better way to embrasses themselves on the world stage?
Woooohooo! Great news!
Are the teachers also covered under Right to Work, with the schools barred from withholding dues from their paychecks?
There are only 23 right to work states in the land of the free? That’s insane!
/src on/At least Gov. Daniels has done one more thing for the Conservative movement than Romney./src off/
Daniels is, in many ways, a model for both conservative and center-right governors: reasoned rhetoric rather than over-the-top attacks, conservative results rather than pandering to the Left.
I heard on local radio the union thugs, occupiers started marching through super bowl village. They were tolerated until they started screaming “No Super Bowl”. Then the folks ran them out.
Hopefully this is a steady march, state by state, like right to carry legislation.
Just sent emails to my state senator, representative and governor Snyder asking that right to work be passed in Michigan ASAP before more jobs are lost.
How many hours until a judge puts a stop to this?
We even have a group of UAW members supporting RTW in Michigan. They see it as a means of regaining control of their union.
Governor Quinnoccio from Ill-Annoy was not happy with Gov Daniels claiming that Indiana workers will be paid less since they cannot bargain for the common good. I am fully convinced that union supporters like Quinnoccio would much rather see NO union jobs than ANY non-union jobs.
I’ll give it less the 24 hours
Daniels is term limited end of 2012.
Mike Pence is our next great governor.
I’m not a Hoosier but I like living here.
There is one sure way to get 90% of America hating your cause, riot during the Superbowl.
That’s one heck of an accomplishment. You have to give him credit.
It will take a while, but businesses will start moving back into Indiana, and it will become an example the surrounding states simply won’t be able to ignore.
The only question is if they can hold out long enough.
Another one bites the dust-a!
