ORLANDO, Fla. (AP)-- Trounced in Florida, presidential candidate Newt Gingrich on Tuesday used the defeat to declare that he alone is the conservative alternative to GOP front-runner Mitt Romney.
Gingrich ignored the fact that the other two candidates in the race -- Ron Paul and Rick Santorum -- chose not to run aggressive campaigns in the state.

Gingrich's defiant pledge to continue on against Romney sets the stage for a bitter brawl for the Republican nomination that could last for months. Gingrich supporters Tuesday night hoisted signs that read "46 States to Go."

"I just want to reassure everyone, we are going to contest every place and we are going to win and we will be in Tampa as the nominee in August," he said.

Gingrich now heads to Nevada, which is set to hold caucuses Saturday. Romney won Nevada when he sought the GOP nomination in 2008 and has had a campaign team there for months.
Gingrich's fortunes could rest on Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator who remains in the race despite weak showings in South Carolina and now Florida. He was a distant third in both contests. Santorum continues to pull conservative and evangelical support that would likely move to Gingrich if he left the race. Tuesday's results could increase the pressure on Santorum to drop out.

Link?
The same was repeated on here for days about Bachmann being supposedly 'in the tank' for Romney. It was false (probably started by you)
Do you ever actually READ FR? His speech has been posted. I'm not searching for it.

And here you are, making false accusations while accusing someone else of doing it. I was never on a Backmann thread. Never posted about her either.
Do some research on Santorum.
Bye.
I don’t think it is unreasonable to ask for a link.
I would like to see it so I can confirm that Rick Santorum actually said his supporters would support Romney.
It could be true, but I can’t believe it unless I see it.
He has come out pretty hard on Romney, so I would like to see where he said it.
You know, if you make a claim around here, people will ask you to back it up with what your source is for making it.
I didn’t save the link as I don’t care what he says other than the lies. Read some Santorum threads. He’s not making friends on FR.
I don’t care about who he makes friends with here. I don’t see Newt or Rick posting here. He is a candidate and it is important that we know the truth about what they say and do, in the past, and the present.
If you can maybe muster up that link, it would be appreciated.
Maybe I will e-mail Michelle Malkin and ask her. Never mind.
And He's a Big Government kind of guy! And apparently proud of spending your money.
All I asked for was a link that proves what you are saying is true.
All of our candidates have dabbled in big government.
None are perfect. If you remember what you are saying so well it would stand to figure you would have a link. After all, it backs up what you are saying. Has nobody asked yet?
You won’t get a link as they make things up as they go along and play bully and tattle if anyone dares to disagree.
