‘Miami will be pleased. Not.’

It’s not Miami that’s in danger.

It’s Los Angeles, Kansas City, Ft. Worth, and San Juan that is in trouble.

St. Louis is all but gone now, relegated to a “Focus city’, and that’s only because of TWA’s huge Frequent Flyer base there.

San Juan never really panned out due to the lack of premium traffic within the Carribean. Safety doesn’t trump service.

And AMR management bet that Obama COULD turn the economy around. MAN, was that a bad bet.

The Alliance facility is mainly maintenance and refurbishments. And not for just AMR planes. I wonder if the newer 767 made a difference.

BTw the hanger is the largest cantilever building in the world. I think it holds 5 or 6 jets wingtip to wingtip, all through one open door.
