I love Newsbusters. That said, I feel sorry for you as a person who has to actually view this constant stream of liberal diarrhea. I sometimes wonder how you maintain your sanity. It never ceases to amaze me how societal entropy brought on by liberalism has reduced us to such a low level of self regard that people watch these low-brow cretins such as Shultz, Oprah, Matthews spew their socialist and communist dogma without ever considering the effect on themselves. This reminds me of the school anti-”bullying” campaigns, which are directed toward dictating acceptance of “gays”.

De-legitimizing the opposition is a staple of Progressive politics. It removes the necessity of having to offer reasoned arguments in support of policies that a majority of people oppose.

Most frequently, this goal is accomplished by labeling opponents with emotionally-freighted terminology (racist/sexist/bigot) that immediately serves to put its objects on the defensive while distracting from their own contrary arguments.

Republicans have only rarely figured out how to defeat such techniques, either because they allow themselves to be intimidated, or lack understanding of the principles they are supposed to defend, or simply lack principles.
