What is amazing from the exit polls, is how well Romney did with the self identified Tea Party Candidates, and evangelicals. I think Gingrich only beat Romney by a couple % points. That may be the most amazing story from tonite. And may unfortunately be the most damaging for Newt.
Now a lot of the undecided power players will immediately move to support Romney. Their contacts, resources, money and influence will cause a snowball effect. Florida’s 50 delegates is really not the important aspect from tonite. It is that in a large, diverse and critical state to the republicans winning, Romney wiped the floor so to speak with Newt. The exits show Romney doing well in almost every region and demographic.
Got to be a bummer nite for Newt. Sad to say, things don’t look promising.
Look at all of the votes for Cain, Johnson, Perry....
Obviously people who voted early before they quit.
Had they not voted early, for whom would they have voted.
So certainly a lot of the other votes were early votes as well.
So the FL vote is not an indication of how the rest of the country will vote.
A lot of facts have come out about Romney since the early votes.
We must hang in there and send Newt money
