TAMPA, Fla. Mitt Romney rolled to victory in the Florida primary on Tuesday evening, according to early returns and exit polls, dispatching an insurgent threat from Newt Gingrich and reclaiming his dominant position in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

Romney is a member of a cult and certainly isn’t a Christian.
Liberal Romney’s win is a loss for conservatism.
It’s disgraceful that this is our choice. Newt Gingrich, a man to whom family values are a joke, and Mitt Romney, a man to whom EVERYTHING is a joke. The MSM destroyed all the real conservatives.
Free Republic supports Gingrich. I'd tread carefully.
I don’t know a single person supporting Romney, behold the power of co-operating media..

Forgiveness requires repentance. Newt is not repentant. ("I'm sorry I got caught" doesn't count.)
Newt converted to Catholicism. As part of the process, it would have been necessary for him to go to Confession. It’s awfully presumptuous to determine whether someone has repented of a sin.
stupid laptop..
Newbie that is NOT your determination to make. Only God knows what’s in a man’s heart. I’d tread lightly. Free Republic supports Gingrich.
Exactly! Neither front runner in my opinion is a perfect candidate, but if either can get enough support to beat Obama we are better off. If that sounds pragmatic so be it.
So what if Romney has a bad pro-life track record, he will be better on pro-life than Obama, who will certainly put some Catholic hospitals out of business in his second term. I've liked Newt for a long time, but even he has said and done things along the way that I don't like, especially recently his remarks about capitalism and taxes. But he will be much better on both than Obama. Support your candidate for sure, but I'd like to see less vitriol against any republican who may end up being the nominee. I held my nose like a lot of people and voted for McCain last time, and I like Newt and Romney both better than McCain. The convention is a while away, lot's of states yet to vote, Newt isn't out of it yet.
All the baby-boomers who don’t give a shit about the future of the country voted for Romney. They don’t care the country is bankrupt because their kids will end up paying for it.
I mean, who cares that there won’t be social security or medicare for your kids as long as you can enjoy it while it lasts.
I see the situation this way:
We, fellow citizens, are the frogs in the pot, and the pot continues to get hotter. If Obama is reelected, we know he will turn the stove up another ten degrees. If we the frogs elect Romney, thinking he will be the “Great Liberator of Frogs,” we will find that Romney will turn the stove up another five degrees, and smile.
I want the hell out of the pot!
Then at least Romney would buy some time. I’m supporting Newt, but the real work has to be done in congress. Here is where I’m hoping Ron Paul has some coattails and we get more representatives in congress to work toward breaking up the banking cartel and the Fed, moving toward sound money, flatter taxes with less social engineering, SLASHING federal spending and repeal of Obamacare.
Romney has NEVER done anything that's conservative.
Look, I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. Im not trying to take us back to Reagan-Bush. - Willard Mitt Romney
Only one thing,.... hurricanes. :P
With no offense aimed at the natives of the state, one has to keep in mind the HUGE percentage of Florida residents who are FINOS (Floridians In Name Only) that brought their poisonous lib-tard mentality from the snow bound sewers of the NY, NJ, etc areas.
I don’t want to try to defend Romney, although there is something fundamentally wrong with a state like MA that still has 55 MPH speed limits on many highways and you can’t buy beer in a grocery store or gas station. That is one of the most liberal and over regulated states in the Union. I’m just saying I am not sure if his MA record would be representative of his approach as President. And if we can get majorities in Congress, I doubt he’d stand in the way of conservative legislation. His judicial appointment record scares me less than Obama’s (but not by much). One of the many reasons I am supporting Newt.
His record should scare everyone. We’ve already seen how he’ll govern. His court appointments are the same as Obamas, ideology over knowledge of law. Romney didn’t run for a 2nd term because it was obvious he’d lose.
