Mossad director Tamir Pardo is in Washington for talks about a possible attack on Iran's nuclear installations, Israel's Channel 2 reported on Tuesday.
Pardo's visit, which would usually be conducted in secret, was revealed by US Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein, 78, who made the faux pax at committee hearing.
The hearing was broadcast live by US television.
Feinstein said she had spoken with Pardo, who also met the CIA director David Petraeus, adding that the Mossad chief had mentioned the possibility of unilateral Israeli action against Iran.

I agree that it isn’t accidental.
However, even as much as I despise FrankenFeinstein, I allow for maybe a bit of strategem. I sense a game of good-cop, bad-cop. We are portraying ourselves as holding back the Israelis from doing something rash.
I doubt that the Israelis are a willing part of this game. I don’t think it will work. But for some reason, the obamites want to play it that way, maybe thinking that by portraying what they think is the image of the honest broker to the Iranians, they can get the mullahs to be reasonable.
Yeah, that in itself is risible, but that’s the only explanation I can come up with. In their muddled thinking, the obamites imagine that they can shape the Iranians’ perception.
The reason I don’t think it will work, is that the Iranians should already know that the Israelis are on a hair trigger. They just don’t care. They think that the Israelis MUST attack, so they can start their version of Armageddon and spring the 12th Imam. Or, they think that the Israelis don’t really have the capacity for an effective preemptive strike. Or, that they can stall until their bomb in actualized at which time they become untouchable.
Any way you cut it, the US strategery to this point is laughably ineffective.

I’m not convinced that the EMP bomb is the life-as-we-know-it-ending threat that it has been blown up to be.
600 meters height of burst for an airburst would be for a bomb in the 10-20 kiloton range. It’s all dependent on terrain factors and yield. The idea is to attain a mach stem convergence zone at ground level. In the military calculus, blast is the governing effect. Prompt radiation, heat and EMP are ‘bonus’ effects whose radius of damage is less than that of the blast front.
A faux pax is when you fart in a meeting. This is treason.
That idiot Feinstein has done the exact same thing before. She is the moron that gave away the name of the base we were launching drones from in Pakistan several years ago.
We had managed to keep it secret for years until she did the exact same thing in a public hearing. She needs to be put in jail.
