Four Typhoon fighters and a refueling aircraft are stationed on the Falklands.

They can try to invade by air or sea. Troop transport aircraft would be sitting ducks for AA missiles and the Typhoons. It would be a slaughter, absolute suicide. I don't think the Argentine Navy would chance an invasion if it even suspected there was a nuclear sub lurking in the area. They remember the Belgrano.

Fortunately, the Argentinian air force was never really rebuilt. It’s fighters are 8 Mirage III and 14 upgraded IAI Nesher/Finger and the bombers are 7 Mirage 5 and 34 A4 skyhawks.
