Florida’s Winner Will Lock in 50 Delegates? Not Necessarily

There are 50 delegates up for grabs in Florida’s contest – the largest number awarded by a single state so far in this season – and it is the first state to award them on a winner-take-all basis. Fifty delegates is a big prize for the GOP candidates. It ensures that the winner of Florida’s primary will have a big lead in the race to 1,144.

But there’s a catch: Some of those delegates could be taken away down the road.

Florida violated the Republican National Committee’s rules twice this cycle – first, when they moved their contest to January, and then again when they decided to dole out their delegates on a winner-take-all system.

The RNC certified a new set of primary rules in 2010 that forbade winner-take-all contests from occurring before April 1.

Guess what Nit, no 99 Florida delegates, not even 50, this will be close and the delegates will be split. No winner take all till April. This rule was passed unanimously by ALL States.

The RNC will ignore its own rules. That is what honorless leftists do.

So riddle me this:

The perennially up-for-grabs Sunshine State will have 29 electoral votes in the 2012 presidential election, up from 27 in 2008.

Never mind, I get it now. They gained two EVs but lost half their delegates for being naughty and moving their primary up and making it winner-take-all. RNC will make them stay at the Motel 6, but otherwise no biggie.

This isn’t that dissimilar to what the D’s did to Hillary! in ‘08, having set a rule that O violated, but backing down from the rule to hand him the nomination.

And, btw ... the GOP Nominatng COnvention is being hosted in FL this year, in Tampa. Will the GOP double penalize its host state ?
