The tea party is dead.
It was a once in a lifetime phenomenon, and it served its purpose in 2010, but, it’s disorganized and leaderless and basically useless.
At a time when it’s needed to the most, it’s nowhere to be found.
Tea Party never had or was supposed to have a “leader”.
It’s an ideal.
Spoken like a cheese eating surrender monkey.

Harry Reid, is that you?
We meet twice a month here, and conference with 41 other groups in our state alone. Just because you aren't involved, it doesn't make it dead.
Oh, you're mistaken, my FRiend. It's right here.
This does bear out what I've suggested in another thread. The entire last year of American politics has been nothing more than a crude puppet show with OWS on the one hand and Romney on the other - we have to fall in between, and the Tea Party falls outside. The difficulty with this is that declaring a political movement dead doesn't make it so. It isn't working, and it isn't going to.
The Tea Party is us
What should it be doing right now that is not happening? Is there an unknown candidate that everyone should be rallying around? We have two remaining conservative candidates, both with positives and negatives, a weirdo libertarian and a liberal democrat with the full force of the party establishment. I am not sure what shuld happening that is not. Some are buying Romney as an ABO candidate, others championng newt, and others Santorum and Paul. There is no unifying candidate, unfortunately.
You give up too easily.
Its essence, the idea and the spirit, is still vibrant.
But more stealthy now
"Joy to Thee Me---Confusion to our enemies."
“The tea party is dead.”
You’re wrong. Check out the huge conservative turnout in South Carolina. The lib Romneybots got their butts kicked.

Are you posting on Free Republic or some alternative universe? We the People are right here where you are posting your doom and gloom. Are our words pointless to you? Do we not exist? Do you have to see some Occupy Wall Street nonsense on the MSM news to give you evidence that a movement exists? Was South Carolina even on your radar?
Lots of questions to you, I realize, but buck up for goodness sakes! If we fail in Florida, we regroup and rise to meet another day. Have faith!

That’s not what I see at the grassroots here. I just attended state assembly house district organization meetings (Republican party functions). In four different house districts, there was a successful and quite spontaneous tea party rebellion amongst the precinct committee folks. The rebellion changed a procedural rule the GOP old guard has been using for years to select non-liberal candidates. The reason it happened is that tea partiers have been showing up at caucuses and running for low level party positions quite successfully. They are now a significant majority of low level party officials in my region.
