ON FIRE: Paul Ryan Completely Dismantles Obama on FNS [Budget? It's All Elementary, Mr President!]

'The irony of this is the president’s policies do the exact opposite. We basically have this. The president can't run on his record. It’s a miserable record. He is not going to change his tune and moderate like say Bill Clinton did in 1996 because he’s really stuck with his ideology so he has no choice but to divide. So he is going to run a very decisive campaign for political gain and he has this concept of fairness and equality where he uses the kind of rhetoric we use, but the policies he's producing will result in crony capitalism will result in more power in the government to supervise our lives, to give us a stagnant economy where the rich and the powerful are the ones who are picking it. So what I'm trying to say is he is giving us a future of debt, doubt, and decline. '

"1000 days without passing a budget.."

Like everything else, Obama directed the job of drawing up a budget on to someone else to take charge of.
In one of OB's major speeches. I remember, he directed Harry Reid to have a budget on his desk within a very short time frame[think was 24,48 hours]. Reid looked on blankly as all the cameras focused in on him. At the time, I tried to read Harry's thoughts..for if I had been Reid, I would have been thinking--And what will you be doing, you, you...? 24 hours??? [blank smile if there is such a thing]

Of course no budget appeared within that timeframe or any other for that matter, and the media had engaged their snooze button; and didn't bother to call Reid on it.

It's All Elementary, My Dear Watson. Note: Watson stares at Holmes with the same blank stare adopted by Reid.

I also remembered at the time thinking our new Hands-On[R]Governor, LePage, had drawn up our state's budget and was going over it for the second time; as that is what a governor does; but he had experience in operating a successful business enterprise and was a popular city mayor beforehand.

However, perhaps the only real requirements needed to become POTUS these days, is that one can read from a prepared speech [ok to re-shuffle] and "sign your name" ...oh, and be able to walk swiftly; in case you are caught on the Tarmac and see Arizona's Governor Jan Brewer racing your way.

debt, doubt, and decline

I like that; it makes for a great anti obama campaign sticker:

"Obama 2012, debt, doubt, and decline"

"Debt, Doubt, and Decline"! Brought to you by the stain and the current regime.

Too bad it's not going to change the minds of any stain supporters out there.

Everytime I hear Ryan speak, I get depressed. He could have been our nominee and easily beat Obama. Instead, we have to pick between two clowns.

A friend of the family knows LePage pretty well; says that he's the Real Deal.

I figure that he's likely right since Dems hate LePage.

Hopefully he gets re-elected. Maine is in a deep hole, and will be a long time (if ever) getting out of it.

I love Paul Ryan. You would see me totally invested in a Ryan/Santorum ticket.
