On a kinda unrelated note, Steve Jobs chose to have his technology to be a closed system. ALL his technology is closed to any body else's entrepreneur ideas. My husband and I went with the PC in the early eighties and made a lot of money building open systems, each unique for the user and wrote tons of software, until Gates stole the most successful one, IQ Text, a natural language search engine completed in 1987.
