Astronaut Gene Cernan, the last man to walk on the moon, Bob Crippen, the first space shuttle pilot, and former NASA administrator Mike Griffin are among the eight space leaders who endorsed Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney on Friday, Space.com reported.
The men signed an open letter that explained why Romney is the candidate they most trust to rebuild the U.S. space program.
"Restoring the U.S. space program to greatness will require the leadership, management skill, and commitment to American exceptionalism possessed by only one candidate in this race: Mitt Romney," the letter said, according to Space.com. "We support Mitt's candidacy and believe that his approach to space policy will produce results instead of empty promises."

“I hope to be proven wrong...”
I hope so too. I hope Obama is defeated.
I’m just hoping the voters will put more and more people into a Republican Conservative congress and hold their feet to the fire. The Tea Party did a great job brining new people in. If Gingrich wins, we may have a chance to do things quicker. If Romney wins, it may take longer until we have strenth in both houses.
blah blah
Thank you and good night.
Obama Jan 2014, State of the Union: Again my heartfelt thanks go out to all those true conservatives and die-hard Republicans who stayed home last November, and allowing the Democrat Party to retake the House and hold the Senate. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the House and Senate for confirming me as President for Life.
There is some grumbling out there but rest assured it will be quickly and efficiently dealt with, so everyone can be cheering the Great Change my Administration has brought and will continue to bring to this great nation.
I'm also proposing that NASA be eliminated and the military downsized to something we can afford - total forces not to exceed 10,000 men and women under arms.
blah blah
Thank you and good night.
I read the first sentence of your post, but afterwards it all started to look like blah blah blah.
Romney isn’t a choice on my ballot, sorry.
Well, I heard something today that is something that has been simmering on the back burner, and uintil I heard it from someone else today, it is rapidly coming to a rolling boil...
I believe the Republican party is thoroughly going to a moderate political standing in politics these days...Conservatives for years have been trying to bail this lifeboat out to no avail...It was a valiant attempt and a noble cause to work it from the inside, but I do not believe the Republican party represents my social, economic and political views anymore...
I believe, because I am in the party establishment, and have been shined on way too many times by our party leadership, and the elected officials we’ve been sending to our state houses and D.C.
Do I believe Newt is our saving grace...no...Romney certainly is not, and Santorum and Ron Paul are cast-offs...Not by my choice, but the party leadership wants to throw them all out with the bath water...
I also believe that when the other person told me about their idea that the Republican Party leadership and elected elite want is to discredit the Tea Party and the grassroots efforts they (we) tout...They want us to just shut up and let them moderate, and enable the liberals to socialize this country against the founding principles of limited government and states rights...
They, like the liberal/progressives, do not want their power and ability to control and over control the money (revenue) lost to conservative ideals...And if they can control the social/political outrage from originalist, like us, then all the better for them...
They don’t believe we’ll fight...I think they are right in some ways, and this little issue like the Space Program is just one more piece of control and influence they will have over national policies and prestige...
If there is no dream for folks interested in a National Space Flght Program, then why go to school to learn technical studies, engineering, military service, et. al.
I think we are full speed ahead to losing more than just NASA and even the private industry trying to certify their programs to turn space exploration into an after thought and into a brief history lesson for future minds of mush that will know we do not do that anymore...
What a waste...

I don’t think you have a concentration span to read more than one sentence of anyone’s post. You just want to shout fire. Hello. No one mentioned Romney being a “choice.” And you’re right. You are “sorry.”
I’m not a Romney poofter, trying to get people to make vows to support the RINO SOB if he manages to drive out the last conservative candidate. That’s pretty sorry in my book.

Apollo, you don’t count. You don’t get the question. It wasn’t about Romney. It was about the party. Maybe Santorum or Paul will be the last one standing. Who knows? You cuss. You attack. You use the same language over and over (carried over from your other name.) You criticize what you haven’t even read.
I think you’re sitting in a prison library somewhere just waiting to go out in the yard. You sick creep. I just looked “poofter” up. You’re a sicko.
