Part of fostering that debate and discussion is to talk about a potential nominee's weaknesses in the general election. Again, I'm neutral about "mike-zed"'s comments, but he was merely pointing out truth. Newt's past is going to be an issue.

Secondly, FR is indeed a private site. But it is supported by donations from its users like me, and possibly the guy that was just pointlessly banned. I like debating with Paultards and those who supported various candidates I didn't like. It sharpens my conservatism and makes me a better voter. Also, I'm fine with clearing out RINOs out of FR - they are not conservatives, but banning this guy was wrong.

Actually, his post {uh-oh, posts failing to fully endorse the philandering, gun-grabbing, big government, global warming loving Newt as the second coming of Reagan are ripe for removal. } was a one-line screed, based on questinable "facts" and were also aimed at the Admin who removed him. In short, his slam about folks espousing "uncomforming" inputs being booted became a self-fulfilling prophesie. The Admins allow all sorts of points of view and rarely boot someone because they stir debate. This guy didn't stir debate and he insulted the integrity of the Mods - why should they ignore the slap to prove him worng? To leave him would be an acknowledgement of what isn't true and would serve no purp[ose unless they think we should all act as libs want us to act when they say something bad and then claim it to be bad manners to acknowledge their duplicity. If he hadn't made the remark directly against the Mods, I would be surprised if he was still with us.

It's akin to a guest in my home stating an opinion I don't agree with. If that's the only issue, he remains welcome. if cals me a thoughtless a$$hole too, he can put his coat on after he exits.
