“I heard that Fred Barnes admitted he heard Romney aides bragging that they had Drudge in the bag????? Anyone see that?”
I didn’t hear that, but some FReepers have removed Drudge from their bookmarks and as their homepage. Lots of negative articles on Newt & none on Mitt. There are a couple of threads on FR about Drudge - this one is informative (I added a little more info in my post #59). Apparently, Mitt’s campaign has been working with Drudge since 2005 (the Drudge-Romney axis):

BTW - Newt said he’ll go all the way to the convention & take Romney on state by state:

It almost seems like Mitt is paving the way to endorsements and favorable media coverage from what we all used to think of as “independent” sources...with his vast personal wealth.
I mean how else would you explain how Drudge is carrying the water for him and staunch Conservatives like Marco Rubio endorsing him unless he was dropping large amounts of $$$$ into their websites and campaign coffers.
All you lovers of The Great One, take note. He defended Drudge yesterday and said for everyone to stop blaming Drudge.
Drudge has done great things but he’s gone political lately and it’s all against Newt. Someone counted 14 anti-Newt stories on Drudge a couple of days ago.
Apparently it was “Fred T” on Meet the dePressed. It was referenced by quite a few people on Twitter.
