I’m not sure “we” need to win Florida, assuming the we is for Newt. I admit I might be saying this as for now it looks good for Romney.

HOWEVER, what looks like a “prolonged” primary season, much to the Blue Blood dismay, will allow states like....well Delaware comes to mind, to have primaries and perhaps be counted in.

Thus Florida’s alleged importance dims in that the base, with bloody stumps for necks all filled with crap, are not going gently into the Mittens good night.

And too, that Florida's primary has diluted influence at the convention, with half of its delegates being stripped by the party for "going earlier than allowed" by party rules.

Not that the GOP establishment has a proper respect for the spirit of its own rules.

I'm hopeful that Newt will win FL - that is, I think he has a much better chance than the news reports and fudged polls would lead a gullible person to believe.
