Either his brother is willing to throw his vote away to stay out of the real decision or they think this election is a big joke

I call it throwing your vote away when you vote for "he can win", instead of who you believe would be the best President.
I wonder who might win if everyone voted for the one they wish were President?

“Hume - there are stories that he blames Newt for his son’s death”

On what grounds?

I heard Mark's Friday Podcast as well. Funny though, Mark's defense reminded me of Marc Antony's sly use of reverse psychology against Brutus at Caesar's funeral.

Remember this?

“ANTONY
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answer’d it.
Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest—
For Brutus is an honourable man;
So are they all, all honourable men—
Come I to speak in Caesar's funeral.
He was my friend, faithful and just to me:
But Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.
He hath brought many captives home to Rome
Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill:
Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?
When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man.”

I understand.

But for every Rubio or Ryan we retain, we wind up getting stuck with Kennedy’s, Shumers, Fiensteins, Murrays, Pelosi’s, Franks, Murtha’s, and a host of others, who stick around until they die or some other miracle.

Still, when term limits are imposed the Congressional staffers grow in stature, and we become enslaved to them through their less experienced Congressmen.

I don’t know the answer really. I do know the current system has been corrupted beyond seeming repair, however.

Where’s Hillary’s reset button?

-- I think regardless of who wins the Republican nomination, they will also win the general as the seemingly capped Democrat anxiety(think Carvelle and Cadell) swells underneath the surface, the difference will be to get enough Senate and House seats and carry out a conservative agenda, I see Newt as being more able as the message he has conveyed during this campaign echos well everywhere... --

I think Newt would bring more down-ballot GOP gains than Romney would. If the GOP selects Romney as its standards bearer, many will stay home. If the GOP selects Romney as its standards-bearer (and it seems inclined to do so), some will work to defeat the GOP. I know I'll work to defeat a party of liars and liar-enablers.

You could be very well right though, that the GOP will take the presidency regardless. There are hoards of people who will support the GOP as the lesser of two evils.

Did Pam Bondi really defend RomneyCare?

###

Posted by The Right Scoop The Right Scoop on January 28th,

There is some bluster going around the internets about Pam Bondi’s interview with Greta last night, suggesting that she not only defended RomneyCare, but that she will also help Romney institute it when/if he becomes president. But I’ve listened to the interview and I believe this is NOT TRUE.

I’m not a Romney supporter and I am not going to bat for him here. I just hate when misinformation gets thrown out there and people latch on to it as if it were true.

If you listen to the interview below, you’ll first hear Rush talking about the similarities between RomneyCare and ObamaCare. Greta then asks Pam Bondi, who is currently fighting ObamaCare in court, what she thinks about what Rush had just said. But for some reason, instead of commenting on what Rush said about RomneyCare, she does a switcheroo and compares what Rush said to Romney’s current plan on health care that he would implement as president.

You’ll notice she uses the word “would” a lot in her answer. She’s obviously looking in the future and not in the past, which is weird, because she was asked specifically about RomneyCare.

You can speculate as to why she did that – perhaps she didn’t want to sit there and defend RomneyCare. But the way she answered the question has led people to believe she was talking about RomneyCare, and, because she said she’s been offered a job in the Romney administration helping implement his health care plan, people now believe she’s going to help Romney implement RomneyCare.

You can listen and decide for yourself, but that’s my take:

Is that the video you’re looking for?

Whatta ditz ... naive, opportunistic and stooopid, publicly gushing her invitation to be on Romney’s healthcare panel. She’s the attorney general! It’a unconscionable .. another Chicago pay to play scheme, and she’s fighting in that position AGAINST Ocare before the SCOTUS .. no ethical conflicts??? She shouldn’t be political or politicized at all. It’s an irreconcilable conflict, in my view. Wake up, FL voters!

Well that was an interesting exercise.

It also explains Joe Scarborough’s out of proportion dislike of Gingrich.

Another light goes off over my marble head regarding Hume and Scarborough and their off balance, visceral hatred of Gingrich.

Also, note the Romney campaign behind it all.

Journalists....Brit Hume ought to be ashamed and should recuse himself from punditry on all matters Gingrich.

We have a shot at getting Rubio to run as VP. Its with Ileana ros Lehtinen. She may have some influence over him and she has already stated she would like to see him run as VP. Let’s hope it happens.

Ileana has endorsed Romney. So, if she sees Rubio as Veep, she sees his as such in a Romney/Rubio pairing.

As for that seemingly capped Democrat anxiety(think Carvelle and Cadell) , since I posted the Ralph Nader article Nader: White House Pressured Democrats Not To Challenge Obama http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2830319/posts, I note that the serious Progressive Democrat opponent Darcy Richardson has done nothing newsworthy after all his initial campaigning the last entry on his website http://www.darcy2012.com/ is Jan 17, 2012, leading me to the conclusion, that those who are working to get Obama reelected were out convincing Democrats he could win so he gets no opposition from the left, and the clueless that have fell in line are about to get the wake-up call even Ron Paul sees as stated in one of the last debates, any of them would win. It was just so funny the way Ron Paul said it as if it were a given, but we all know overcoming the media is a big hurdle for any Republican Presidential Candidate.

I was confused by your “we might get Rubio” phrase, taking it as a positive. Do you think Rubio would team up with Romney, if it was offered?
