With the January 31st primary just a few days away, the time for early voting ended Saturday.
In Broward County, the turnout has been light, but slowly picked up throughout the week. As of Saturday morning, 7,785 early votes had been cast in Broward County. The majority of the early votes came at the Northwest & Southwest Regional Libraries.

19,000 voters cast their votes early in Miami Dade. The highest early voting totals in Miami-Dade County were at West-Dade Regional Library and at the Coral Gables Library.
After living here the better part of 15 years, I cannot make heads or tails of the significance of these numbers. That is a big difference between Dade and Broward early totals. If Cubans are more likely to skew toward Newt, it might look good. But I really do not know.
You can’t make anything out of it. Dade has a lot more republicans. Broward is full of liberal jews and northern transplants. Of course Dade is going to have a higher turnout in a republican primary.
You are most likely right. It is fairly easy to see the score on the Broward SOE site. Miami Dade, not so much.
