I am not sure what you mean by Romney being behind the smears - I was talking about Herman's woman mess. (most of which I think was unusual, but the lady getting money every month was no Romney activty.)

I have not suggested that Romney or Rick was going to benefit, just that Newt's three marriages can't be a big help with women voters and that getting Herman's endorsement was not a s helpful as it would have been if Herman had lost without his problems...he was my early fav. not because of leadership but his ability to frame a good republican message.

Some freepers were there, and tried to get me to sneak in and fill the empty seat at their table, but I had a TPX event to go to in the park down the street.

We watched Cain endorse Gingrich on CSPAN and after that event was over Newt dropped by to say a few words.

Got a text from seekthetruth that they were headed over to the park, but before I could text her back to ask her to bring West and Cain, Newt had spoken and left already.
