well, here in Alberta we’re ok, Saskatchewan is ok, most of the rest of the country is dependant on us for payments (communism). Eventually it’ll give. Either way, our countries are attached at the hip, we’re like conjoined twins, so you can expect whatever hits the US hard, will hit us too.
I am mostly just sick of my fellow countrymen thinking how awesome it is to bash our southern neighbors. It’s considered hip on the radio stations and the whole nine yards. It’s called ignorance. Thanks to a nuclear deterrent, Canada was kept safe in the cold war.
I get to Canada often for business and family and am astounded by the just the t-shirts alone that belittle and demean Americans.
A lot of Americans have low opinions of Canada as well, based on lack of education. A case in point is the burning of Washington DC in the War of 1812; when I tell them that we burned York first, I get blank looks.
My father’s family is from Quebec; nice place to visit. Calgary’s nice, too.
