I guess the state didn’t want to “suspend” the election for a couple years?
Ya, she doesn’t like the idea that people in public office have to run for election. So, she has decided not to run, not subject herself to that public examination of her accomplishments (if any), and her plans if re-elected. The whole process is beneath her, so good riddance.
