Moreover, as a political argument, how will Romney be able to employ our most potent weapon in a way that wont be perceived as hypocritical? Try to imagine a general election debate over healthcare between Romney and Obama:
Romney: Obamacare is a disaster.
Obama: If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan. People outside of the exchange will be unaffected by the changes. Further, Mr. Romney, we actually got the ideas of subsidized healthcare exchanges and the individual mandate from you. Werent they pretty successful in Massachusetts?

"I am PROUD that Romneycare cost the Bay State 18,313 jobs
and drove up total health insurance costs in Massachusetts by $4.311 billion;
and collapsed disposable income per person by $376; and
even reduced investment in Massachusetts by $25.06 million.
Screw the stupid people in Massachusetts.
They only live to serve me and BAIN, and besides ...
I FLED TO CALIFORNIA."
People should stop calling it Romneycare and call it for what it is Obamacare. My god, i can’t believe the nominee in waiting for the GOP was the architect for the monstrosity called Obamacare. America is at the Rubicon. The oligarchs of the political elites have shown their cards. Behold the brave new world!!!
Mitt Romney is hands down the worst possible GOP candidate for President we have ever had.
He even is worse than John McCain, far worse.
When people find that they can vote themselves money from the treasury, that will herald the end of the republic.
George Bernard Shaw of all people said: "When the government takes from Peter to give to Paul, he (the government) can rest assured of the support from Paul"
My theory is that the GOP establishment is willing to concede the election to Obama as long as they control the house and the senate. But it assumes that the tea party will fall in line and support the GOP initiatives (i.e Romney). But what if they stay home? Party affiliation has been at their lowest in generations and to presume that the tea party folks will "fall in line" like African Americans do for the democrats is presumptuous at best and demonstrates the fatal conceit of these supposed powebrokers in the GOP that they are not in tune with the zeitgeist of the American people. We may be witnessing the death of the GOP as we know it. What if the GOP lose the house and the senate with Romney? The economy may be sputtering but the narrative is controlled by a liberal elite and we will hear how good it is getting and blah blah blah. Four more yrs of Obama with a house and senate controlled by liberals will be the end of America as we know it.
