DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) -- Three topless Ukrainian protesters were detained Saturday while trying to break into an invitation-only gathering of international CEOs and political leaders to call attention to the needs of the world's poor. Separately, demonstrators from the Occupy movement marched to the edge of the gathering.
After a complicated journey to reach the heavily guarded Swiss resort town of Davos, the Ukrainians arrived at the entrance to the complex where the World Economic Forum takes place every year.
With temperatures around freezing in the snow-filled town, they took off their tops and tried to climb a fence before being detained. "Crisis! Made in Davos," read one message painted across a protester's torso, while others held banners that said "Poor, because of you" and "Gangsters party in Davos."

I miss Davos so much. We used to spend many weekends there skiing off the Parsenn. It was a quiet swiss town. It’s only wild when these summit meetings are there.
You just know that polizei behind those shades is eyes-right.
As far as the protesters go, I’m afraid their message is getting lost in their medium.
Perhaps you could share a "mulled wine" with the protester as well, while she mulls over whether she and her fellow protesters should agree to a sit down to a meeting with Davos leaders.

I’d like to invite them to protest in my town. I wouldn’t mind if they decided to occupy the park. It’s sunnier if Florida, and they could use a tan.
I’m surprised only three were detained. I would have detained a lot more of them for extensive questioning.

No elite! Lol. I used to live in Switzerland. And the snow was notoriously scant when I lived there, so only the really high peaks like Davos had good snow. It really was just a ski town whenever I went. Never been to the take over the world summits.
I’d listen to what she had to say, for hours if necessary.
I would think the detainees would always be an even number.
Just look at all 6 of them.
