One of my favorite traps for atheists is to ask them: Do the wings of a bird serve a purpose? Do eyes serve a purpose? Hands and feet? etc, etc. Their answer, somewhat reluctantly, is ‘yes’. Then I ask them to look up the definition ‘purpose’ in their dictionary of choice. I save them the trouble by telling them that the words ‘intent’ or ‘intention’ is the first thing they will see. I then ask them to explain ‘intent’ without intelligence. Checkmate.

I usually explain it like this....look at that building did it have an architect? carpenters? plumbers? electricans? Yes is the answer. How do you know that? I can’t see them. Well you just know. So who created the trees, the birds? If everything you see it needed a creator. Right? Aaaah Aaaah.
