I’ll admit this is obscure for those not in the know, but Gingrich was supporting Reagan anti-communist policy vis-a-vis Nicaragua when the controvery first started, and Tip O’Neill got so pissed at being exposed that he personally insulted Gingrich in violation of House rules. Contrary to the Romney slams, Gingrich became a star for defending Reagan’s foreign policy.

It’s a 6 hour video, is there a time to hone in on?

Excellent post. Takes a while in the long cspan video to get to the point when Tipsy goes bananas. Trent Lott is in the well, Bill Thomas, Bob Walker, Vin Weber (interesting inasmuch as he is a romneybot now). So, in terms of Latin American (including Cuba) politics... why does Rubio defend Romney... other than trolling for a slot somewhere. Newt is deadly. Romney is a lightweight--- it's like hearing a branch bank manager talk, and just as disingenuous. And should romney get the nomination and then lose the national--- heads will roll, starting with Elliott Abrams, and Ann Coulter. This is all jive, and they must be mighty scared. Recognizing politics as they are in this Rockefellerized country club republican party.. do any Freepers think that conservatives stand a chance.

Obamacare is a fait accompli under romney.. and frankly this will mean revolt. The IRS as the compliance officers for our personal health-- not in our lifetimes. Open revolt-- for personal freedom such as it is. Give obama another term and we will have full employment for the returning military in the national gestapo-- he said it, he'll do it. Newt can dismantle this... with our diligent intelligent help and against all the media including faux news. As romney positions himself and his people (emphasis) to survive in a coming collapse partly of their making, what are we to do? Fight for truth, and hold everyone to it.

It’s get going good after minute marker 12: - then after the break - Newt was FEARLESS then - even against Tip who was not used to being bucked - Newt fear NO ONE, I love when he told Tip - YOU don’t’ have the right to yield! - right is right - he would annihilate obama

Thanks for posting the link. I vaguely remember this from the news back then. It shows that Newt has long been a fighter, taking on the most powerful Rats of the time.

Newt was hell on wheels even back then.

He dominated his peers with sheer intellectual force.

RINOs are always fatheads, but especially now in regard to their attacks on Newt. On the infrequent occasions that he criticized the Reagan foreign policy, he did so from the right, just like Jesse Helms, their rationale being that Reagan might have been more aggressive with the communists, and less trusting, notably, with Gorbachev.

Instead, these ridiculous lying RINOs count on Republican primary voters having such short memories that we'll swallow the line that any difference with Reagan meant siding with far-left pro-communist Democrats like Ed Boland (whose name the RINO fatheads won't even remember... but I do).

And that amounts to a huge insult to the intelligence of Republican primary voters, tea partiers in particular.

More good news about Newt. I find it almost remarkable that 6-8 weeks ago, most of us praising him were wishing he would get out to help solidify the vote. Funny how things change as time passes. He's taken a boatload of smears and is still standing proud.

GO NEWT!

It’s funny, no pathetic, how the Dems try to turn this into a debate over whether it was appropriate for Gingrich to send the Special Orders invitation via the House post office instead of messenger.
